Hailing from Chicago, Cody Geil started playing violin at the young age of 3 ½. At 17, Cody was granted a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston. During school she played with her electric string quartet. They released tracks on Koch Records and toured many times in Europe.

After graduating, Cody moved to NYC.  She has played with many artists, a variety of musical genres, sings and plays both acoustic and electric violin.

Cody has released two original CD’s. Go with the Day, a collection of original world fusion instrumental compositions. The Chase-Lion Tamer is an eclectic indie pop collaboration, which mixes looped violin lines, layered haunting vocals and catchy beats.  Live performances include looping violin and vocals with original songs and new takes on other artists songs. 

Cody also leads a jazz band called Bon Musique. She sings (French and English) and plays the violin in this group. The band plays all the classic standards as well an authentic approach to modern music.
